New Pisara Pure: more durable bathroom furniture made from recycled materials
In a nutshell: in spring 2026, Pisara’s previous wood-based core solution will be replaced by the new Pisara Pure furniture material, where recycled raw material is given a new life. The result is bathroom furniture designed to last longer, with a lighter footprint on the environment. The warranty will be extended from 10 years to a full 20 years.
Pisara is evolving and looking to the future. Pisara Pure is made for environmentally conscious homeowners and builders who do not want to choose between their own space and the planet we share.
In the North, nothing goes to waste
Here in the North, we have always known how to make full use of what we have. Nothing from a reindeer is wasted. The fur becomes clothing, the hide is tanned, even the hooves can end up in soup. When something is made, it is made to last and to serve for a long time. The same thinking now guides the biggest renewal in Pisara’s history.
New material: Pisara Pure
Pisara Pure core material is a solution developed by Kaluste Päivärinta in Kuusamo, Finland, giving recycled raw material a new life. The new core is made from material recovered from industrial side streams and replaces the previous Lamiwood birch plywood solution.
Now, not a single living tree needs to be felled for Pisara furniture.
Environmental thinking does not come at the cost of quality. Quite the opposite.
The new material is optimised for the demanding conditions of the bathroom. Pisara Pure does not swell or warp, and it is fully water-resistant. The material is biologically safe, does not attract mould and meets the requirements of the M1 emission classification. It also withstands temperature changes across a wide range.
Pisara is known for its durability and functionality, but also for its beauty. The velvety matte laminate finish completes the luxurious look and feel. It is hard to imagine a more practical combination for the bathroom.
Longer life cycle, longer warranty
With this renewal, Pisara’s already long life cycle becomes even longer. That is why we are extending the product warranty from 10 years to 20 years.

Pisara furniture is made at Päivärinta’s factory in Kuusamo, with more than 45 years of experience across two generations. We have also ensured that the basins, taps and other details in the collection come from European suppliers who comply with the EU’s strict standards and take safety and environmental responsibility seriously, not just as marketing language.
